Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is an entry-level emergency medical provider course that will prepare individuals for employment in a variety of pre-hospital, industrial and first responder settings. The EMR Course is an ideal course for individuals working in the Oilfield, Power, Construction, Chemical, Forestry and Manufacturing industries. Our EMR course is designed for the working professional and is an Online/Blended course that consists of online or at home coursework (48 hours) and two mandatory on campus lab practice experiences (16 hours). This course is designed to provide participants with the basic knowledge and skills to manage several medical and trauma-related emergencies. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are eligible to seek either Oklahoma State Certification or national certification through the National Registry of EMTs.

  • Tuition: $569 (includes book and certification fee)
  • A new Online EMR class starts every February and October.
  • The class is 10 weeks long
  • Fall EMR Dates: September 29th, 2025 thru December 7th, 2025
  • Spring EMR Dates: February 23rd, 2026 thru May 4th, 2026
  • There are two MANDATORY Saturday lab sessions. These sessions cannot be missed or made up at a later date.
    • Spring Semester Lab Days: TBA
    • Fall Semester Lab Days: Saturday Nov. 1st (9am to 5pm) & Saturday DEC. 6th (9am to 5pm)
  • Completers are eligible to take either the NREMT Certification exam or OSDH Certification exam.
  • Payment if full or 3rd party billing required upon enrollment.
