High school is when you can explore your interests while taking classes in subjects you enjoy. When you enroll at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, you’re taking the next step to figure out who you are, what you like, and where you want to be. With so many areas of study, we’re certain you can find a program that builds on what you enjoy and prepares you for college or a career.

Application Timeline
Once your student has decided to get a jumpstart on his/her future. We have several opportunities throughout the year to share what we do with your students.
September/October: Gordon Cooper is excited to connect with partner schools and students to discuss the upcoming visits with the current sophomores and eighth graders. If you are a Homeschool student or in Virtual High School, here is the registration form for our Sophomore Showcase:
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT ENDED THURSDAY, OCT 31 @ 3 PM.
November and December: Sophomore Showcase and 8th Grade Tours are scheduled for November 4th and 6th-8th of 2024. This event is open to all 10th graders and 8th graders in our 27 districts. It aims to provide them with an opportunity to explore their future options within our programs through an onsite visit. Homeschool, online students in the district can arrange to visit as well. We also invite prospective students and their parents to attend an evening Open House on December 2nd, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. During this event, teachers and current students will be available in the classrooms to discuss the program, showcase their projects, and address any questions that students or parents may have about the program or attending our institution.
District 9-11th grade students can participate during the school day for Shadow Week, Dec 9-13, 2024. Students can select a program and day they would like to visit before applying!
Make sure you always get permission if you attend an in-person high school.

The application portal will open on December 9, 2024, for the August 2025 programs!
January: Last part of January I will begin meeting with students via Zoom scheduled through high school counselors. Homeschool and online students will be contacted by email in February for an appointment with Eric Davis.
February: Priority application deadline is in February. Once a student has applied, an email will be generated to notify you of next steps!
Late March: Admissions decisions are made and letters are sent to students. Students will find out if they have been accepted into a program, put on a waiting list, or not admitted to Gordon Cooper Tech.
April: On April 1, 2025, we will notify students of their status for the 2025-26 school year. From April 21st-25th, GCTC will visit schools to acknowledge accepted students. See you soon!!
