Licensed Practical Nursing
Practical Nursing program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Students will need to have completed 136 hours of pre-requisites before beginning the program. Students enrolled in the program will complete 1343 hours including a combination of classroom theory, laboratory training and clinical practice.
The Practical Nursing Program is approximately 11 months in length. Classes meet Monday through Friday, with classroom hours typically 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clinical hours vary, often starting earlier in the morning with some evening hours required.
Course content focuses on the nursing skills, theory, and professional requirements for an entry-level position as a licensed practical nurse. The program is divided into three semesters. The program comprises both theory and clinical courses.

Entrance Requirements: Reading, math and language skills at the 9th grade level or above. Must be a high school graduate or have completed the GED. Higher grade level results in higher TABE points for entrance.
Pre-requisites: Medical Terminology (45 contact hours or college level or higher), Long Term Care certification, CCNA and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card.
