Executive Assistant
Position Summary:
Provide high-level administrative support to the Superintendent by managing board materials, school and superintendent correspondence, travel, and compliance-related documents. This role also has supervisory responsibility, assists with policy updates, prepares and maintains official records and minutes of the Board of Education, and serves as the minute clerk for board and foundation meetings. Regular attendance and strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills are essential.
Required Education and Experience:
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Minimum of three years in a clerical/secretary/admin assistant position in a school or business setting
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies/software
- Competence in utilizing modern office software, including advanced spreadsheet functions, coupled with professional telephone communication and strong relationship-building abilities.
- Must be very organized, dependable and show initiative in accomplishing tasks with and without direct supervision.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Supervisory experience
- Five years or more as a secretary/assistant experience in a school or business setting
- Experience working directly with CEO as an Executive Assistant
- Experience with Career Tech finance
Work Days: 260 contract days/ 8 hour shift
Classification: Non-Certified Administrator, Exempt
Salary Range: $60,000- $70,000 (The exact placement within the posted salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience and level of education)

Adjunct Clinical Instructor:
RN with a BSN or ADN. If ADN, must have evidence of continued progress toward a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing with completion of a minimum of six (6) semester hours per calendar year. Must hold a valid unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. Must present evidence of a minimum of two (2) years full-time equivalent practice as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting preceding the first date of first employment as a nursing adjunct faculty member. Hours are variable, Day Shift. Salary: $38.00 per hour.
Substitute Teachers
Gordon Cooper Technology Center is looking for substitute teachers for three campuses, Shawnee, Seminole, and Aviation. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude and supervisory skills to impact GCTC Students. They should have experience supervising and have some basic classroom management skills. The schedule can be flexible; we have morning and afternoon classes. Types of classes can be math, automotive, airframe & powerplant, cosmetology, criminal justice etc... We are flexible on days & hours. We do not guarantee any certain number of hours. Salary: $15.87-$17.10 per hour, Professional Subs such as aviation, cosmetology etc. can make up to $30 per hour. Substitute Bus Driver
We are searching for a few substitute drivers to assist when drivers out and to cover fieldtrips. Successful applicants should have the following qualifications: Meet or exceed all Oklahoma Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver License Requirements and meet or exceed all Prerequisites for Oklahoma Public School Bus Drivers per the Oklahoma State Department of Education. An individual with 3 years of successful commercial or school bus driver experience is preferred.
substitute drivers who are certified but have no experience will be paid an hourly rate based on the salary schedule for Bus Drivers at step 0, no degree (FY25: $16.84 per hour). Substitutes that are certified and who have experience, may be paid at step 6 ($18.27 per hour) on the Bus Driver salary schedule
