High school is when you can explore your interests while taking classes in subjects you enjoy. When you enroll at Gordon Cooper Technology Center, you’re taking the next step to figure out who you are, what you like, and where you want to be. With so many areas of study, we’re certain you can find a program that builds on what you enjoy and prepares you for college or a career:
- Training at Gordon Cooper combines a theoretical framework and hands-on skills application.

August 11 – First Day of School - Students return to school and begin the new year.
August 17–21 – Welcome Back Week - Fun activities to help students get comfortable, meet others, and learn about their school.
August 20 – Launch Day - Students learn about expectations, community resources and GCTC opportunities for the year.

September 8 – Meetings with School Principals/Counselors - Schools meet to prepare for enrollment and support students.
September 10 (5:00–8:00 PM) – Back-to-School Night - Current GCTC families are invited to visit the school, meet teachers, and learn more about programs and opportunities.

October 28 – Tour Reminder Sent - Families receive a reminder about upcoming tours for 8th and 10th grade students.

November 2, 4-6 – School Tours - Current 8th and 10th grade students can visit the school, meet staff, and see programs in action. This is arranged through school counselors, or individual registration from homeschool/online groups.

January 11–21 – Applications Reviewed - GCTC Counselors reviews applications from online and homeschool students and schedules next steps if needed.
Assessments can be scheduled for those needing to complete the application process.
