PDT Students Earn Certifications from Freightliner, ASE

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Students in Ed Jolly’s Professional Diesel Technician program at Gordon Cooper Technology Center were presented with 112 certifications earned from Freightliner since the beginning of October.

One student received a student certification from the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

“The Freightliner certifications help the students get a head above the rest when it comes to working for the Freightliner dealer or a trucking company that runs freightliner trucks,” Jolly said. “It also means they are trainable, as all dealers have their own certifications.”

According to Jolly, the students started their Freightliner training in October and since then all students in his morning and afternoon classes have earned at least three certifications apiece.
