GCTC to Host STEM Night (POSTPONED)

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Gordon Cooper Technology Center’s American Spirit Team and Pre-Engineering Academy will host STEM Pops on Tuesday, March 24, beginning at 6 p.m. on the GCTC Shawnee campus.

The event is open to students (accompanied by an adult mentor) between the ages of 7 and 15 who are interested in math, science and technology. The night will include hands-on activities, a panel of STEM professionals and a tour of the GCTC STEM related shops.

Cost for the event is between $17 and $22 and covers the participation of a student and mentor, student t-shirt, event materials and a light snack. Students will be grouped by grade, so each should bring their own mentor or they will be grouped with a high school volunteer. Registrations received after March 12 will not receive a t-shirt.
