SHAWNEE, Okla. — Gordon Cooper Technology Center Superintendent Bob Perry presented Vice-Chairman Linda Capps of Citizen Potawatomi Nation with the Rocket Man Run High-Volume Participation award Thursday.
The award was presented to Citizen Potawatomi Nation for a second consecutive year.
The 2019 edition of the Rocket Man Run was held on March 30. Proceeds from the event went to support the GCTC Foundation Scholarship Program.
Since 2001, the Foundation Scholarship Program has provided direct assistance to more than 850 students. Scholarships help students stay in school by providing for emergency needs such as a tank of gasoline, groceries, vehicle repair, baby-sitting costs and tuition assistance.
