Advanced Health Careers Certification Instructor- Seminole Campus

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for the instruction, operation, and program development of the Health Careers Certification Program. Will coordinate student’s on-the-job training/clinical and will serve as the program’s HOSA advisor. 

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • RN License  
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three years of clinical experience and/or three years of successful teaching in a related area within the last five years in a related industrial/ business setting. 
  • At least. 1 year ER experience 
  • Must pass EMR test by August 2028
  • Eligible for Oklahoma State Department of Education Standard Certification in Health Occupation Education
  • Biological Science Teaching Certificate will be required no later than March 2028
  • Additional educational/certification requirements may be requested at later date

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Oklahoma State Department of Education Standard Teaching Certification in Health Occupation
  • Oklahoma State Department of Education Biological Science Teaching Certificate
  • EMR Certification

Integrated Math Instructor

 Position Summary:  

Instructor will meet Carl Perkins funding requirements of strengthening the academic skills of students participating in vocational and technical programs. This will be done by strengthening the mathematical components of programs through the integration of mathematics with vocational and technical education curriculum. The instructor is to meet this requirement through a coherent sequence of courses to ensure learning in core academic mathematics. Also, the instructor is to provide students with strong experience in and understanding of how mathematics is used in all aspects of an industry.

 

 Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Oklahoma State Department of Education Standard/Alternative Certification
  • Must be Secondary Certified in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus,
  • Three years of successful teaching and/or experience in an industrial/business setting.

Pre-Engineering Academy Instructor - Engineering

 

Position Summary:
Instructor will teach engineering courses and Project Lead the Way courses.
Participate in the student selection process. Ensure effective evaluation of student achievement. Support the development and integration of technical and academic curricula. Provide classroom instruction as assigned. Develop external partnerships that enhance student learning and access to higher education. Involvement in SkillsUSA/Robotics.

Essential Processes:
• Teach pre-engineering courses and other duties as assigned.
• Develop appropriate curriculum, integrating project-based learning and engineering standards. Ensure effective curriculum integration between academic and career instructors.
• Meet with students, parents, and counselors to ensure appropriate students are placed in Pre-Engineering Academy. Assist in developing academic/career plans, assist in planning for post high school transition, assisting with development of student portfolios, scheduling, relevant tours, and participating in an annual open house.
• Evaluate student achievement by interpreting multiple data sources. This will include participating in an effective evaluation committee and implementing effective evaluation strategies.
• Develop and foster partnerships with external groups that represent business and industry; higher education; communities; sending schools; and civic and professional organizations. Outcomes of these partnerships to include education agreements to provide curriculum alignment and career pathways; opportunities for student mentoring, job shadowing; student scholarships; effective advisory committees; promoting and marketing; and scheduling of speakers.
• Responsible for proper maintenance of equipment used in the classroom.
• Serve as a SkillsUSA/Robotics advisor/mentor.
• Attend Project Lead the Way, AP, or other engineering training as necessary.  Specific training sessions will be scheduled through the instructor's supervisor.
• Perform other professional tasks and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Instruction and/or Superintendent.


Required Education and Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Science, Math, or related technology field.

Must attend training required to teach Pre-Engineering courses such as Project Lead the Way and/or Advanced Placement courses.  

Preferred Education and Experience:
We are seeking candidates who can bring real-world engineering application to the classroom. Consequently, significant preference is given to applicants with professional engineering experience over those with solely academic or teaching backgrounds.

Technical Qualifications:
• Engineering Proficiency - demonstrate an ability to apply advanced science and engineering knowledge to design and conduct scientific experiments.
• System Design - capability to design systems or processes to meet specific engineering needs.
• Tools & Aptitude - proficiency in using modern engineering tools, techniques, and skills necessary for practice, along with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly moving equipment weighing up to 30 pounds in the classroom or across campus for various classroom and event needs. The person in this position will occasionally move about inside the lab to access file cabinets, machinery, etc.  The person in this position frequently communicates with students. Travel:

The Welding Instructor is responsible for the high-quality instruction, operation, and general development of the Applied Welding Technology Program. This position requires a skilled individual with expertise in various welding techniques to create a dynamic environment that prepares students for industry careers. In this role, the instructor will manage classroom instruction, participate in the student selection process, and support the integration of technical curricula. Additionally, they will ensure the effective evaluation of student achievement and cultivate external partnerships to enhance access to higher training and education.

Adjunct Clinical Instructor:
RN with a BSN or ADN. If ADN, must have evidence of continued progress toward a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing with completion of a minimum of six (6) semester hours per calendar year. Must hold a valid unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma. Must present evidence of a minimum of two (2) years full-time equivalent practice as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting preceding the first date of first employment as a nursing adjunct faculty member. Hours are variable, Day Shift. Salary: $38.00 per hour. 
 
 
Substitute Bus Driver 
 We are searching for a few substitute drivers to assist when drivers out and to cover fieldtrips. Successful applicants should have the following qualifications:  Meet or exceed all Oklahoma Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver License Requirements and meet or exceed all Prerequisites for Oklahoma Public School Bus Drivers per the Oklahoma State Department of Education. An individual with 3 years of successful commercial or school bus driver experience is preferred.
 substitute drivers who are certified but have no experience will be paid an hourly rate based on the salary schedule for Bus Drivers at step 0, no degree (FY25: $16.84 per hour). Substitutes that are certified and who have experience, may be paid at step 6 ($18.27 per hour) on the Bus Driver salary schedule
