Computer Network Technology

Gordon Cooper Technology Center offers full time career pathways to high school juniors, seniors and adults. Courses are offered from 8:15 to 11:15 AM and 12:55 to 3:55 PM Monday through Friday. A student can choose to attend either the AM or PM session or both sessions. All students must be assessed before entering a career major.

Computer Network Technology prepares individuals for success in modern computer-based network environments.  The focus will be on entry level computer and networking technician skills.  Students use a hands on approach to learn both hardware and software to build, configure, manage and maintain the components commonly found in information technology systems. The curriculum includes certification specific instruction in computers and their operating systems, maximizing the performance of networks, and assisting network and workstation users.
